Gitwangak National Historic Site, formerly known as Kitwanga Fort National Historic Site[1] is a National Historic Site of Canada located at Kitwanga, British Columbia in the Skeena Country of northwestern British Columbia, Canada. Gitwangak was an 18th century earthwork fortress, also known as Battle Hill. The site includes a trail with interpretive signs.
The nearby Gitwangak Village features several wooden totem poles that were originally erected by several clans on Battle Hill, but moved to the village due to floods.
